Frank Palmisano Obituary

PALMISANO, FRANK Frank Palmisano, husband of Helen Palmisano of East Haven, formerly of New Haven, died in Raleigh, N.C. on Thursday September 6, 2012, surrounded by his family by his bedside. He was the father of Al (Karen) Palmisano of Raleigh, N.C., and the late Richard Palmisano. He is the brother of Thomas Palmisano of East Haven. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Andrew (Kathy) Palmisano, David Palmisano, Kelly (Michael) Shumway, Laura (Ralph) D'Aniello and Amy (Devin) Flood, and three great-grandchildren, Olivia D'Aniello, Kira and Miles Palmisano. He was predeceased by his brothers Phil, Joseph, Andrew, and Nash Palmisano and his sister Rose DeAngelis. He was born in New Haven on March 17, 1921, son of the late Thomas and Margaret Palmisano. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII, where he received two Bronze Stars. He worked in the plumbers union for many years. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. His family was the most important part of his life. Friends are invited to a funeral service Monday morning at 11:00 in the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford, and may call prior to the service from 10-11 A.M. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Heartland Hospice, 3200 Atlantic Ave., Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27604. See online memorial @ www.wsclancy.com
