HOPKINS, FRANKLIN D. Franklin D. Hopkins, 80, of New Haven; born on January 6, 1935 in Bethel, NC to the late Lyman Hopkins Sr. and Roberta Mecks, passed away October 2, 2015 at Arden House in Hamden. Mr. Hopkins retired from Yale University. He leaves to cherish his memory; sons, Brian Hopkins (Joy) of Bridgeport, CT; Damon Hopkins (Tlona) of Stratford, CT and Apostle Randy Furlow (Autumn) of New Haven, CT; siblings, James Hopkins of Bloomfield, CT; Sylvester Hopkins (Maryann) of New Haven, CT and Margaret Outley (Charles) of West Haven, CT; 9 grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, beloved wife Brenda and two brothers. A Celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at Ebenezer Chapel; 50 Dwight Street New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation Wednesday at the church from 10-11AM.
