Fred Kaoud Sr., age 86, of Wilton passed away at home, with his family at his side on August 13, 2021. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Afaf Awad Kaoud. Fred was born in Ramallah, Palestine son of the late Khalil and Azizeh Misleh Kaoud. He is survived by his loving children, Isam Kaoud of Bethel, Joanne Kaoud Simpson and her husband Howard of Milford and Fred Kaoud Jr. and his wife Cindy of Wilton; his cherished grandchildren Laura, Fuad, Lucas, Lucia, Isabella, Neil and John Kaoud, Emma and Ella Simpson; his siblings Randy Kaoud of Woodbridge, Abe Kaoud of Woodbridge, and Wedad Elfar of CA, and predeceased by Wadi Kaoud & Sam Kaywood; and numerous nieces & nephews. In the 1950's Fred came to the United States from Palestine, with his brothers, and established Kaoud Brothers Oriental Rugs. For many years he thrived in business but his greatest achievement was his family. Fred loved to cook and enjoyed many Sunday dinners with his family. He and his wife loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida
The hours of visitation will take place on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Tuesday morning, a Funeral Service will take place in St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, Bridgeport at 9:30. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. Fred's family has asked that masks be worn for all indoor services.
