Frederick Morro Obituary

MORRO, FREDERICK NARGI Frederick Morro, 92, of North Haven and Titusville, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Florida. He was the husband of the late Florence Russo Morro. Fred was born in New Haven on August 14, 1921; son of the late Ferdinando and Eva Marie D’Antuono Morro; served his country faithfully in the US Army during WW II and had worked for the US Postal Service in North Haven for many years until his retirement. Fred was a member of the Moose Lodge in Merritt Island, FL, was an avid golfer, enjoyed cooking, gardening and dancing. Father of Anthony (Lois) Nargi and Laura (Robert) Cretella. Grandfather of Alyssa (Wes Jakubiec) Nargi, Keith (Kristen) Nargi, Jennifer Cretella Candido and Heather (Tammy Graziano) Cretella. Great-Grandfather of Ryan Nargi. Predeceased by his siblings Lucia Criscuolo, Pasqualina Merola, Geda Mazzetta, Mary Rolley, Charles, Joseph, James and Anthony Morro. His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm.
