George Berger Obituary

Berger, George
George Spencer Berger, of Jamestown, Rhode Island, left this life and started a new journey on Thursday, October 26. Born in 1942 to Spencer and Jane Berger in New Haven, Connecticut, Spencer lived in many parts of the country. He spent the last 27 years of his life in Jamestown and Newport. He leaves behind his brother, Eric; his sister-in-law, Ethel; his nephew and niece, Tim and Lolly; many generations of cousins and a multitude of friends. Spencer was a man of many faces, impeccable clothes and a huge heart. A holistic counselor and a talented designer, he brought spiritual light and laughter into people's lives. He will live on in many hearts.
There will be a celebration of his life on Friday, December 8 at the LaGrua Center, 32 Water Street, Stonington, Connecticut from 11:00 to 2:00. Donations in his honor can be made to the Island Moving Company, a dance company in Newport, Rhode Island or a charity of your choice.

It was good to see him at the Foote School Centennial and talk about the turns our lives had taken. He was warm, cordial, and seemed at peace with himself.
