FONICELLO, ARTHUR GEORGE Arthur George Fonicello, 88, lifetime resident of Guilford passed in peace Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Mr. Fonicello was born on July 15, 1927 in New Haven, CT, son of the late Patsy and Agnes Gabinelli Fonicello. He leaves his wife Helen and their five children, Paul Fonicello, Cynthia VanSickle, Arthur Fonicello, John (Rock) Fonicello and Kenneth Fonicello. Also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Fonicello was known throughout the Guilford community as one of the owners and founder of Fonicello’s Home and Garden Center where he worked his entire life with his brothers. Art was a great supporter of sports and enjoyed playing and watching whenever he could. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, Tuesday, April 5, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow Mass in Alder Brook Cemetery, Boston St., Guilford.
