George A. Mihalakos, 56, of Hamden, Connecticut, passed away suddenly on September 1, 2025. Born on May 9, 1969, George lived a life full of passion, generosity, and devotion to the people and places he loved most.
George was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Bessie Mihalakos; and is survived by his dear sister, Theano Mihalakos, who resides in Greece. He cherished his family deeply and carried their traditions with him throughout his life.
Known for his hardworking spirit and dedication, George spent many years helping to run his family's businesses, Clark's Pizza and Clark's Dairy, where he built lifelong connections within the community. He was also a talented professional jai-alai player, a passion that reflected his love for sports and his drive to succeed.
George had a zest for life and found joy in the simple things - trips to the beach, visiting Greece, and his annual visits to the Big E. He absolutely adored his friends and family, always showing up with kindness and a generous heart, and he had a special place in his heart for his beloved cat, Bo.
To know George was to love him. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his adventurous spirit, and the way he made those around him feel valued and cared for. His presence brought light and laughter, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Friends are gathering at his home, Saturday, September 13, 4pm-8pm, 85 Rolling Ridge Rd., Hamden.
