George Daniel Pease
July 13, 1945 - June 11, 2025
George Daniel Pease "Dan", 79, of Wallingford, passed away at Smilow Hospital on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. He was the loving husband of Shirley (Russo) Pease.
Dan was born in New Haven, July 13, 1945, a son of the late Cecil Frank and Grace (Piscitelli) Pease. He had a long career as an iron worker and was a lifetime member of Ironworkers Local #424. Dan was an Ironworker Apprentice Instructor for many years. He was also a lifetime member of the New Haven Raccoon Club and an avid outdoorsman. He proudly built his own home.
Dan will be remembered as a great husband, father, family member, great friend, and will be forever missed by all.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, he will be missed by his sons, Daniel R. Pease and Christian R. Pease; his brother, Edward C. Pease Sr.; his sister, Annie P. Fitzgerald; and many nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his sister, Grace P. Thompson; and his brothers, Frank C. Pease Sr., Nathaniel B. Pease, and Frederick Pease Sr.
Dan's family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Wednesday, June 18th, from 5pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:30am, go directly to Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, in North Haven. Gifts in his memory may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( www.stjude.org ).
