Just by chance I happened upon Dr. Fishbone's obituary. Dr. Fishbone's quiet, humorous and brilliant teaching was much appreciated by me as a timid resident many years ago . During my 40 year career, his voice often echoed in my head as I pondered a difficult case. Even though I have not been in touch with Dr. Fishbone in many years, I am greatly saddened by his passing.

My deepest sympathy to Gerry's family. I knew him for many years as a colleague at HSR where he provided immeasurable assistance in the care of my patients. His knowledge base was astonishing, but his kindness and sweetness were incredible. I remember to this day how he greeted me the day I returned after my son's death. The deepness of his feeling for me brought me to tears. Thank you, Gerry for all you did for me.

My condolences to Marilyn and the Fishbone family. Dr Fishbone was a kind and gentle man who has contributed so much to medicine , and to research for juvenile diabetes.
It has been my great honor to know and work with Dr Fishbone.
May he rest in peace.

Our mother had the honor of being a patient of Dr. Fishbone & we probably hold the distinction of having the last "house call" ever made by Dr. Fishbone in this modern era. Even though it was the "final hurdle" in our mothers life, he saw to it that her comfort level was high & her pain level was non-existent. We will always be so grateful for every step he took in my mothers care. RIP doctor, your legacy can never be paralleled

I will miss Dr. Gerald Fishbone. Whenever I greeted him his response was always with a smile. I knew him best as an active participant in the Chair Aerobics Class where he sat in the center of the first row. I was impressed with the loving care he received. Dear Marilyn and family, may the wonderful memories of your beloved Jerry be of comfort to you during this difficult time.

I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Dr Gerald Fishbone. He was one of my favorite attendings, and, one of my favorite people during my radiology residency at St Raphael´s in the 1990´s. He was a brilliant radiologist and teacher, but also had a wonderful dry sense of humor that would make my day. My deepest condolences to the whole family.

Mrs. Fishbone, Lisa and Scott,
I am so very sorry to read of Mr. Fishbone's passing. He was such a nice man. I enjoyed conversing with him whenever I came to the house to care for the grounds. One of my favorite customers. He has left a great legacy. May he now rest in the peace of the Lord Almighty.
