To Donna, Ginger and family,
Jeff was a genuine, gentle giant in the Derby community. Like all of us born and raised here, Jeff was instilled with the love for Derby and gave back, influenced and touched many lives. I would see him almost weekly downtown. Again, another sad time in Derby but let us remember how he lived; selfless dedication and brave service to our country, to our city and to our youth. We were honored to know Jeff. Rest in peace.
With sincere sympathy,
Barbara DeGennaro and Ken Marcucio, Jr.

I lit a candle for you today
In hopes it would help you find your way.
The light you have shown in this earthly plane.
Now burns brightly in this flame.
You’ve touched the lives of many while here.
When help was needed, you’d always appear.
Sincerity, Honesty and real ness were your game.
That big heart of years was your claim to fame.
A protector of those you held dear.
Was something you made very clear.
Your laugh was one that filled the air.
Ones like you are very rare.
Today I lit a candle for you
In remembrance of a life that was lived tried and true.
In this candle your memory shines bright.
As you are a soul of eternal light.
I lit a candle for you today.❤ ILC

Jeff loved Derby. He loved people. He was someone I looked up to as a young kid growing up in Derby. He was soft and caring on the outside but hard and tough on the inside. You are missed. Rest In Peace Hugh.

Coach Collins-
Such an awesome coach, turned friend. You’ll forever be remembered for yelling “Why are we walking”- when us players decided not to jog from the bottom of the hill to the lock room. We sometimes did it on purpose just to get a laugh, and of course started to jog after. Our way of showing respect to a great man, coach and mentor.
You’ll be missed big guy.
Rest easy!
