I am so sorry to hear of Jim´s passing! I realize that it has been weeks now without him. He was a wonderful and warm person. I met him years ago through WW. He might not have remembered me if we passed on the street, but he was a great source of inspiration for me at a time when I needed it! (And truthfully, I still think of him when making certain life choices.) The world is a sadder place without him. I hope you cherish the memories you made with him.

Had the honor of working with Jim at the Holiday inn in New Haven and then visiting him at Mory's, such a gentleman and a great mentor. God bless him. Cesar Zapata

Some pursue happiness others create it. I had the pleasure of working with Jim @WW. Because of his compassion & sense of humor he was loved by all. While we will miss his physical being he will live in our hearts and minds forever.

I will send my condolences to the family of Jim Shumway. He will always hold a special place in my heart. We had such a great time at WW when he was my leader. What a pleasure it was to get to know him and enjoy his wit and humor. We had a special relationship and got along very well. It was awesome.

The WW ladies will miss Jim tremendously. He was our very special coach in person and then virtually. His humorous and helpful end-of- meetings quotes will be remembered. What a special guy. RIP Jim. Deepest condolences to the family you were so proud of. Will toast you and count the points.
