JANET DiPALMA-SMITH Obituary

DiPALMA-SMITH, JANET Janet DiPalma-Smith of Branford, formerly of Milford, died suddenly in her home on Friday September 11, 2015. She was the wife of the late James Smith. She is survived by her nieces Suzanne Preberowski (husband Michael) of Reston, VA and Carol Hearn of Virginia, and her nephews Michael Sanzone (wife Linda) of Branford, Donald DiPalma (wife Jane) of East Haven, and Jon DiPalma of Ohio. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Greg Smith (wife Christine) of Milford, William Smith (wife Laurie) of Bensalem, PA, and Karen Malota (husband Brian) of Beacon Falls, CT. She was predeceased by her sister May Sanzone and her brothers Anthony and John DiPalma. Janet was born in New Haven on December 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa Conforte DiPalma. She was an Administrative Assistant at Yale University and she also worked at the Dress Barn in Branford for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church in Branford. Burial will follow at King’s Highway Cemetery in Milford. Friends may call prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405. See online memorial @ www.wsclancy.com.
