JEAN A. KINNARE

1935 - 2016

KINNARE, JEAN A. Jean A. Kinnare of Guilford, CT, passed away at Connecticut Hospice on August 15, 2016, the Feast of the Assumption. Jean was born in New Haven, CT on July 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Edna Kinnare. Jean was a graduate of Guilford H.S. 1953, St. Raphaels School of Nursing and received a B.S. in nursing from Boston College. She practiced her nursing in a variety of fields. A love of study and languages lead her to a M.S. in education and a teaching career in Guilford and Old Lyme. Jean is survived by her brothers Thomas C. Kinnare (wife Nora) of Alton, Illinois, William M. Kinnare (wife Barbara) of Madison, CT, and sister-in-law Sheila Kinnare of W. Chesterfield, NH. Jean was predeceased by her brother John E. Kinnare. The blessings of her life were her 9 nieces and nephews and 25 grand nieces and nephews. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held at St. George Church, Guilford, CT on Thursday August 18, 2016 at 11:00. Burial will be private. The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses and care givers especially, the staff of Avantus Renal Therapy in Branford, CT.
