I am so very sad to learn of Jeannette's passing. I spent a fair amount of time with her and Steve in my younger years as they and my parents were very close. They were frequent, and welcome, visitors to our home. When my parents were away for an extended time (mid 80s, I think) and i was to be home alone, she and Steve moved into the house. (It was on the Connecticut shore and who wouldn't want to live on the water front, if only for a short time?) For two weeks, Jeannette treated me like a king, making wonderful meals (her stuffed cabbage was legendary in my mind) and engaging me in challenging, stimulating conversation--a new experience for me. I loved it.
My condolences to her family.

Jeannette was a strong and determined woman. My husband and I, had the pleasure of spending a lot of time at her house doing all kinds of interior design work, with Remy A. She became more than just a client. She was more like a friend. Even to the end she never gave up. May she rest in peace.
