JoAnne Sims Obituary
JoAnne Sims, 60, entered eternal rest on February 10, 2021. She was the loving wife of Jerold Sims. JoAnne was born on May 11, 1960 in New Haven, a daughter of Betty Maxine Branham and the late George G. Branham. She was employed at Pathfinder as a Supervisor and was previously employed at the New Haven Register. In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves to cherish loving memories; sons, Jerold Sims, Jr. and Jerome O. Sims; a daughter, Jenelle E. Sims; brother, George G. Branham, Jr.; sisters, Mary White (George) and Angie Branham; four grandchildren; Jerold Sims, III, Jerome Sims, Jr., Mariah J. Wearing and Damari Jose-Alfred Burroughs; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Tony Branham.
A celebration of JoAnne's life and legacy will be held Friday, February 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Temple Church, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. A walk-through viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Anyone attending the celebration of life, viewing or burial must adhere to any COVID-19 safety precautions. Online guestbook available at curvinkcouncil.com

To the family of Jerold Sims. I just learned that Joanne had passed on, earlier this year, and was quite sadden to learn this. Jerold, it was great to see you at our last class reunion, and a great pleasure to meet your beautiful wife Joanne. I'm so glad that you both had the opportunity to attend. We had a lot of fun at the class reunion. It was such an honor to meet your wife and to see you again. My family extends their thoughts, prayers and condolences to you and your family. May God continue to heal you and your family, and continue to watch over each and everyone of you. May Joanne continue to rest in heaven.
