Very sad day indeed. My heart is heavy for John. I had the good fortune to meet John in the spring of 1994. He saw I was wearing a Mets shirt, and we hit it off instantly. Very similar family and friend values and many memorable moments through the next three decades would become the backbone of a fantastic friendship. Time with John at Shea Stadium, Citi Field, Norwood's, Barone's, and many other Valley establishments will stay with me forever. Rest in peace my friend. Bobby Lanese.
