JOHN COMO Obituary

COMO, JOHN J. John J. Como, 78, of East Haven, beloved husband of Genevieve Imperati Como, passed away on April 14, 2016 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving father of Kathleen (Paul A.) Cosenza and Michael (Dolores Marello) Como all of East Haven. Grandfather of Paul A. (Kendra) Cosenza. Brother of Alice D’Andrea of Hamden. John was born in New Haven on April 16, 1937 son of the late Michael and Edith Milone Como. Prior to his retirement, John worked in the accounts receivable department of the former Type House Printing Company. His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, MONDAY morning at 10:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call MONDAY morning from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
