John F. Rourke Sr., 87, loving husband of the late Marcia (Franco) Rourke passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at his home in Wallingford.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Thursday, January 4th, from 9 to 11am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11am. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.

So sorry to hear this, I worked for Burgmeyer and Tredways Express and would run into John quite often, I agree with George Sheehy, he was a fun and great guy. Rest easy my old friend, see ya down the road.

My sincere sympathy to all the family. I worked with John at Carolina Freight and he always had the smile that accompanied his notice and a laugh to go with it. Great guy.
