I remember Dr.John Seashore who operated on me when I was only 17 years old in the pediatric surgery Department at Yale New Haven Hospital. It was my first surgery that I had for my Crohn's Disease.I am now 60 years old.Dr.Seashore gratefully put me in a 17 year remission from my Crohn's Disease! I was referred to Dr. Seashore by Dr.Joyce Grabowski from the Yale New Haven Hospital Pediatric Gastroenterology clinic!! I have heard Dr.Grabowski had also passed away recently as well. But they both will be in my memory forever!! I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when I was only 9or 10 years old. They were both very highly intelligent doctors and I was blessed that my parents took me to them for my much needed care!!

We extend our sympathy to the Seashore family. Dr. Seashore was our daughter's surgeon for many years. She is now 26 and a speech & language pathologist. Besides being a talented surgeon, Dr. Seashore was a kind, caring man who helped us through many trying moments as parents of a child with complex medical issues. We will always remember him with gratitude.

I join John's countless friends and colleagues in mourning the passing of this great and gentle man. It was my honor to work with him for so many years and later to sing with him on Christmas Eves at Redeemer. He was a splendid physician and teacher, a dedicated husband and father, and a trusted colleague. May you find comfort in fond memories of this wonderful man.
