My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and I hope you will all feel a little comfort after reading my favorite poem Safely Home. I truly feel blessed to have know Joe. He is now in Heaven with our Heavenly Father and his beloved wife, Alice.

Safely Home
I am home in heaven, dear ones;
Oh so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty,
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.

Did you wonder how I so calmly,
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh, but Jesus' love illumined,
Every dark and fearful glade.

And he came himself to meet me,
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remains,
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

I was shocked and saddened by reading that your father had passed away. I had seen him couple of weeks ago and the last time we spoke he told me he had just bought a new car. We had enjoyed talking about growing up in Ansonia and the friends we both knew in elementary and high school. Sweet memories. My condolences to the whole family.

Paulette, Steve, Nicole, Eric,

I am so sad to here of the passing of Joe.
I worked with you all for some years at the Market. He was a great man, and a wonderful boss, probably the best boss I have had in all the years I have been working. I will always remember him and Alice as the nicest people I had the pleasure of knowing. My prayers are with you all,
Love Cindy
