TONDALO, JOSEPH L., SR. Joseph L. Tondalo, Sr., 83, of Sackett Point Road, North Haven formerly of Fallon Drive, North Haven passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Bride Brook Health & Rehabilitation Center, Niantic. He was the husband of Katherine DiMaria Tondalo. Joe was born in New Haven on July 31, 1932; son of the late John and Angelina Cirillo Tondalo Petrucci; served his country faithfully in the US Air Force during the Korean War; had worked for the city of New Haven Sanitation Department, the State Canteen and later for the New Haven Regional Water Authority until his retirement. He was an active member of the Jolly Timers. Father of Joseph L. Tondalo, Jr. (Jackie), Martin Tondalo (Susan), Vincent Tondalo, John Tondalo (Kate) and the late Cheryl A. Tondalo. Grandfather of Tia, Martina, John and Nicholas. Great-grandfather of Isabella, Sophia, Alexus, Julian and Dylan. Brother of Ann Guarino, Jean Trimachi (James), John “Jake” Tondalo, Jr., (Lucille) and the late Frances Luizzo and Angelina Dalip. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
