February 26, 1938 - October 15, 2023
Josephine "Patty" Civitello Bradley, 85, of West Haven, beloved wife of the late Daniel L. Bradley, passed away on October 15, 2023, surrounded by her family, at CT Hospice. Loving mother of Daniel (Antoinette) Bradley Jr. and Barbara (Salvatore) Giannotti, all of West Haven, and Michael (Monica) Bradley of Plymouth, NH. Grandmother of Daniel III, Kristopher, Tyler, Jesse and Storm Bradley and Christian Giannotti. Great-grandmother of Aubrey, Addison and Sofia Bradley. Sister of Patricia Milardo of Hamden and the late Gloria Scalesse, Paula Purificato, Mickey Donato, Mary Albe, Sue Bello, Ann Jenkins, Doris Roman, Rose Coppola, Domenic, Anthony, Joseph and John Civitello. Patty was born in New Haven on February 26, 1938, a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth D'Amato Civitello. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a seamstress for the Gant and Sero Shirt Companies for many years.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven, MONDAY morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John XXIII Parish at St. John Vianney Church, 300 Capt. Thomas Blvd., West Haven, at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Sending condolences to Josephine´s family for your loss. She was friends with my grandmother. Even after my grandmother´s passing, Josephine continued to send cards and correspondence over the years as she knew how close my grandmother and I were. My grandmother passed away over twenty years ago when I was a teenager, which just goes to show how wonderful Josephine was that she continued to check in over the years. My deepest sympathy during this difficult time.

Beautiful, kind, caring, thoughtful, strong- I could go on to describe sweet Aunt Patty. She is an example of a truly wonderful person, someone our planet needs more of that is for certain. Aunt Patty will be loved always and missed immensely. Sending all of you much love, support & peace.

So sorry to hear of Josephine´s passing. My mom and Josephine worked together at Gant shirtmaker many years ago. They reconnected when Josephine moved to Surfside. Josephine was a good friend to my mom and also our family. After my mother died Josephine continued to stay in touch with cards and letters throughout the 20 plus years. She was a sweet and kind lady. May she test in peace.
