JULIA CEREMANO Obituary

CEREMANO, JULIA CONFINANTE Julia died October 8, 2015 in Los Angeles California with her daughter, by her side, holding her hand. Julia was born, 1921, and raised in Derby and a graduate of Derby High, class of 1940. She studied nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital graduating in 1943. Julia was a World War II veteran serving at Veteran’s Hospital in Framingham Massachusetts, where she met her future husband Mario. Additionally, she was on staff at Griffin Hospital. Julia and Mario married in 1948 at St. Mary’s Church. In 1950, expecting their first child, they headed west to California where they built their dream home, and raised Linda and Mario Junior. Julia lived in that home for sixty years. Julia was the consummate nurse on call for family, friends, neighbors, for emergencies, minor scrapes or just a little TLC. Julia was predeceased by her husband, son, all of her brothers and sisters, several nieces and many life long friends. She is survived by her loving daughter. Private interment, Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. On November 1, a Celebration of Life will be held at the family home in Los Angeles. Information at [email protected]
