Mrs. Nathans was one of my son's, IanMarshall Davidson, favorite teachers at St. Stevens. When he was being teased she defended him (the whole school could hear her) and it was a long time before she had to stop them again. She was a wonderful teacher and so missed by all her students and the staff. I am so glad Ian was able to have her as a teacher.

June had a wonderful way about her and lifted you up with her caring, gentle ways and kind words. The encouragement she gave, and the confidence and character she helped to build in all our children is priceless and so appreciated. She treated everyone like a precious gift, yet she is the one who gave us so much. She always saw the good in people, and it inspires me to try to do the same everyday. My love and condolences to Jay and Family. Though we will miss her greatly, we have all been blessed to have had June in our lives.

Mrs. Nathans was truly a special and rare teacher. She touched so many young hearts and lives. Her influence and spirit will live on in all the young adults from Saint Stephens who were so lucky to have had her as a teacher. She was truly loved by them.

My late wife Margaret and I have been residents of Whitney Center since 1995, together until Margaret's passing in 2007.We had the privilege of knowing June all our stay here. A kinder, more welcoming person we haven't known. In addition, we know that she trained many or most of the young people who waited on us in the dining room, so that their patience and good humor with old people, like hers, could be counted on. And all this while teaching schoolchildren too when not at work here.I lamented her retirement, and we missed her. But it was too brief, as was her life.I pray you will find comfort in remembering her and in the hope of the life tcome.

Mrs. Nathans,
You were the best teacher I ever had. Your young soul made class fun and the discipline you taught us, showed that we could go beyond anything we could ever ask. You cared about our lives outside of school and you shared advice that always made situations turn around for the better. You always called us "Your Angels" and in reality, you're our Beautiful Angel. I'll miss you, I love you, and be safe. ~Class of 2009

I couldn't walk through the halls at work without seeing her bright smile, hearing her say to me "Hi Sweetie", with a kiss and a "love ya!!" That speaks volumes of the kind of woman June was. She is someone who comes into your life, if only for a while, to bring "light". She brought it to my son when she taught him and to all of us who worked with her and loved her.

You will never be forgotten June, It was a pleasure to have known you...I will blow you a kiss tonight, tell you I "love ya"...as you are safe now.
