Kenneth Golia Obituary
Kenneth R. Golia, 80, of North Haven passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, at Connecticut Hospice with his family by his side. Ken was born in New Haven, CT on July 19, 1944. He was the husband of MaryAnn (Hodak) Golia and the son of the late Dominick Jr. and Mildred (Paquette) Golia. Before his retirement he was the owner of the Ultramatic Embroidery Machine Company and then went on to work for Transmission Equipment Company. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Lindsay (Antonio) Buontempo and a son Stephen Golia, both of North Haven. His two granddaughters, Ella and Kendall Buontempo who were the love of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Nancy) Golia of Hamden. He was predeceased by his brother Gary Golia and his granddaughter Emma Buontempo.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Raphael's Campus, the Arden House and the Connecticut Hospice of Branford for their wonderful care, compassion and support.
At his request, his services and burial will be private. Mary Ann, Richard and Family- I just learned of Kenny's passing.
I was one of the Embroidery Artist's who worked for Kenny and his Father Dominick at Marco American/Ultramatic long ago and have fond memories of those days.
My condolences to you All Rest in Peace now Kenny.

Dear Mary Ann, we are so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Ken was a great neighbor and a wonderful guy to talk to. He had many interesting stories about classic cars, motorcycles and planes. His infamous line was " I could tell you stories"! He adored his granddaughters and often mentioned his honeymoon to Waikiki Beach with his lovely bride! Mary Ann, if there is anything you need I hope you know we're always here for you. Rest in peace Ken! We will certainly miss you! Martin and Irene Keniry.
