Joanne V. Golia

April 15, 1939 – July 31, 2025

Joanne V. Golia, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Terracina Grand in Naples, Florida. She was 86 years old. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 15, 1939, Joanne was the daughter of Joseph and Teresa Guida, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her sister, Marie Paradiso.

Joanne's life was defined by enduring love, compassion, and a deep devotion to family. She met the love of her life, Clemente L. Golia, while working at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. They married on May 9, 1959, and shared over 66 beautiful years together-a journey filled with love, laughter, and steadfast partnership.

Joanne and Clemente raised two children, Joseph Golia and Terri Alzado, and were later blessed with four grandchildren: Jaclyn Freydberg, Joseph Golia, Brandon Alzado, and Sofia Alzado. To them, she was their cherished "Nana," and to her three great-grandchildren-Avery, Luke, and Ellie-she was lovingly known as "Gigi." Her family was her greatest pride and the heart of her world.

From Brooklyn to Astoria, Long Beach to Lido, and eventually Naples, Florida, Joanne's life was filled with rich experiences and meaningful relationships. She especially cherished the summers in Long Beach-sun-drenched days spent with family, friends, and the simple joy of being together. Her time in Lido was marked by deep bonds with a close-knit group of beach friends, a small community she came to love dearly. In retirement, she and Clemente made Naples their permanent home, where they continued to foster friendships and enjoy the warmth and connection of community life. Joanne embraced each day with open arms. She delighted in meeting new people, never missed a chance to dance, and found joy in life's simple pleasures. Her warmth, curiosity, and infectious zest for life left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Above all, Joanne was the heart of her family. Through her love, generosity, and unwavering support, she created a legacy rooted in kindness, unity, and strength-values that will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted husband Clemente; her children, Joseph, and Terri; daughter-in-law, Jeanne; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a large, loving extended family of nieces and nephews.

Joanne V. Golia will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the love she gave so freely. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. The Funeral arrangements are as follows:
