Kenneth Robinson Obituary

Kenneth Robinson, Jr.
Kenneth R. Robinson Jr. of Woodbridge, CT, born December 12, 1953, passed away on March 14th, 2023 at Griffin Hospital at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife, Khaleah (Kaye) Robinson, and his children Sean and Skylar Robinson.
He was born to Ethyl and Kenneth Robinson Sr. of Orange, CT. He was a graduate of Amity High School (1971), before going on to receive a Bachelor's degree from University of Connecticut and a Master's Degree from University of South Carolina.
After finishing his Master's degree he joined his father in running K.R. Robinson Company in Orange, CT. They worked together in general contracting, with projects ranging from office buildings and warehouses to specialty machine foundations for manufacturers. Some of their clients included Hy's Limousines and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Ken even started a design-build division of the company. An interest in flying led him and his father to branch out and start Robinson Aviation at Tweed- New Haven Airport as an additional business/investment. This company continued to expand and thrive under Ken's leadership over the last three decades.
During this time, Ken met his wife, Kaye Williams, on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. The rest, as they say, is history. They were married August 15th, 1987. The two enjoyed sailing on Long Island Sound, traveling, and gardening together throughout their marriage. Ken designed both homes where they would live and raise their children, Sean and Skylar.
During the last few years, his son joined him in the family businesses. He had a lifelong love of horses which he shared with his daughter. He remained an avid gardener, and bird watcher. He retired from sailing but retained his love of the ocean. He was a member of the Milford Yacht Club for 39 years and enjoyed dining at the club and viewing the boats. A celebration of Ken's life will be held at the Milford Yacht Club, 131 Trumbull Ave., Milford, on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2 pm. Ken will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, please a make a donation to a charity of your choosing. Donations may also be made to the Orange Volunteer Fire Department or the Forever Morgans Horse Rescue in Honor of Ken.
