Lawrence (Larry) Oscar Ceder
June 3, 1935 - August 23, 2025
Lawrence (Larry) Oscar Ceder, 90, of North Branford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025. Born June 3rd, 1945, in Bristol, CT, he was the son of the late David and Viola Ceder.
During his life, Larry worked as a tool and die maker until he retired at the age of 80. He was a devoted Knights of Columbus member. He loved sports (especially the Boston Red Sox), playing canasta (Fran, Dot and Vern), gardening, camping, bird watching, playing chess and, most of all, his family.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Fran, his children, William, Deborah (Ken) DaCunto and Kelly. His grandchildren, Amber Rawson, Rachael DaCunto, Bradley (Katie) Rawson, Ryan DaCunto and Jonathan DaCunto, along with his sister-in-law, Sheila Ceder, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his siblings, David, Ralph, William and Dorothy (Vernon) Burr, along with his sister-in-law, Gloria Ceder, James Burr, Kyle Paluha and Luke Burr.
Friends and family will be able to pay their respects at St. Augustine Church, in North Branford, in the church foyer on Friday, September 12th, from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will not take place at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Ambrose Parish, 30 Caputo Rd., North Branford, CT, or Compassus Care, 612 Wheelers Farm Rd., Milford, CT.
