Lawrence Reiss Obituary
June 18, 1951 - May 12, 2021
Lawrence F. "Larry" Reiss, 69, of West Haven passed away suddenly on May 12, 2021. He was the cherished husband of Margaret J. Reiss. In addition to his wife Peggy, Larry leaves a large and loving family including his cherished sons Edward W. Reiss and his wife Elizabeth Wojcik, his son James A. Reiss, grandson Orion G. Reiss, his siblings David A. Reiss (the late Coralee), Martin C. Reiss (Mary Jo), stepsiblings Karl Hahn (the late Cristina), Nancy Hahn (the late Douglas Dietz), Katherine Hereld, Amy Hahn (Forrest Proper). Larry received both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UCONN. From 1975 until 2000, he was a member and co-leader of New Haven International Folk Dancers. At the time of his passing, he was a sales rep for Club Demonstration Sales in the Milford Costco.
On Monday morning visitation will take place from 10 o'clock until noon at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Larry and I knew each other since age 6 and 7. Our families became best friends. Larry was always happy and always was himself. I know we are all missing him.

It took me by surprise today when Sylvia Rifkin told me this news. The Rifkin's and the Lewis' and the Reiss' all were childhood friends with Larry. I'm not sure what to say. All that time together. We remember Larry fondly, as a happy guy who led a fulfilled life and always had people he loved. He would wish everyone to be happy in remembering him.
