Louis "Louie" Paolillo, 89, of East Haven, beloved husband of 68 years to June Ann Naccarato Paolillo, passed away on September 13, 2024, surrounded by his family at MidState Medical Center. Loving father of Rosemary Paolillo of East Haven, Louise Paolillo of Madison and Alphonse (Maria) Paolillo of East Haven. He is survived by his adored grandchildren, Theresa (Vincent) Durso, Jennifer DiLungo, Lisa (Michael Verderame) DiLungo, Louis (Danielle) Paolillo, Alphonse (Mark Welz) Paolillo Jr., and Tina Marie and Vincent Paolillo. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Brother of the late Jessie Papagoda. Louie was born in New Haven on May 27, 1935, son of the late Alfonso and Margaret Luciano Paolillo. After 30 years, he retired in 1981 from Cott Beverage, where he worked as the vending manager. Louie enjoyed and could always be found helping his son, Alphonse, at his business, Branford Auto Center. He also loved being with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, WEDNESDAY morning at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call TUESDAY from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org . I was sad to hear of Lou´s passing.
Branford Auto Center could not have had a better greeter than Lou...always a big smile, a cheerful hello, offering a cup of coffee, making customer´s day a better one.
My heartfelt sympathy to Lou´s family.
There should be more people like Lou. The world would be a better place.

Dear Rosemary and the Paolillo family, Laurel and I are very sorry to hear of your father's passing. I can still see him now washing and waxing his Cadillac in the driveway nextdoor, always with a smile on his face. My he rest in peace.
