LYDIA McPHERSON Obituary

McPHERSON, LYDIA I. Lydia I. McPherson, 94, of North Branford passed away peacefully June 6, 2016 at her home. Beloved wife of the late Billy McPherson. She was born on February 18, 1922 in Old Saybrook a daughter of the late Domenic and Mary Marra Pontillo. Lydia is survived by her children, son William L. McPherson of North Branford and daughter, Donna King and her husband Garry of Berry, KY. She was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Anna and Mary Louise Pontillo, Alma Cappiello, Margaret Marenna and Patricia Harris, and her adored brothers, Vincent “Jimmy” and Domenic Pontillo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Friday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ambrose / St. Augustine Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call FRIDAY MORNING from 9:00-10:30.
