Lynette Ann Smith
Lynette Ann Smith passed away on September 20, 2024. Lynette was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on April 14, 1953, and grew up in Deep River, CT. She was raised by Brainerd and Elizabeth Smith; and she had one brother, Rand.
Lynette attended Southern Connecticut University and received her Bachelors of Science degree in art education. Lynette enjoyed teaching youth of all ages in Art, English and special needs during her 40+ year career. Lynette loved to walk and swim; she also took mission trips to North Carolina, Israel, and Japan. Lynette loved her family, her church and their congregation at Kingdom Life Church in Oakland, Maine.
She is survived by her two sons, John and Justin Gorecki; her two daughters-in-law, Jamie and Maranda; and her five grandchildren, Kaleb, Aden, Caitlin, Nicholas and Gabriella. Lynette was loved by all who met her and was known for being kind, patient, considerate and thoughtful.
Funeral services are set to take place at noon on October 18, 2024, at Kingdom Life Church in Oakland, Maine. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Justin Gorecki, 145 Riverside St., Milo, ME 04463, to help with funeral costs.
