November 8, 2025
Marilyn (Murphy) Amento passed away after a long illness, peacefully, Saturday November 8, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in New Haven to the late George and Vera (Femniak) Murphy. Marilyn is survived by her husband and soulmate Clem Amento of Branford, devoted sons George Malone of Guilford and Edward Malone of Branford. Also survived by her step daughter Dina Beno whom she adored, (Etha) of New Rochelle, NY, and three step-grandchildren, Ella, Micah and Asher. Also survived by siblings James Murphy (Arlene) of New Haven, Paul Murphy (Charlene) of East Haven, Katherine Scott (Robert) of FL, and Mary DeAngelo (Albert) of Old Saybrook. Marilyn is preceded in death by brother George Murphy of Minnesota and sister Vera Murphy of Branford.
A celebration of life will be held on November 16, 2025 at LaLuna restaurant, 168 N. Main Street, Branford at 12:00 noon.
