Marion J. Ardizzone
Marion J. Ardizzone, of New Haven, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 10, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Frank Ardizzone for 66 years. Mrs. Ardizzone was born in New Haven on January 30, 1940, daughter of the late Rosario and Rose Sabatino.
She was employed by the City of New Haven food service department for 33 years and a union steward of Local 217 for 20 years. She was also a member of the 17th Ward Democratic Town Committee for 25 years and a member of the Notre Dame Mother's Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Frank Ardizzone III (Catherine Rose Abbagnaro) of New Haven and Michael Ardizzone (Cheryl Terrio) of Branford. Three wonderful grandchildren, Olivia Ardizzone (Will O'Brien) of Branford, Michael Ardizzone, Jr. of Branford and Salvatore Ardizzone of New Haven. She was also blessed with her beautiful great-granddaughter, Juniper. She was the sister of Patricia Sabatino and the late Salvatore Sabatino. She is also survived by her nephew Justin Sabatino.
Visiting hours will be Friday October 17th from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Michael Church, Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org and/or Shriner's Children's Hospital www.shrinerschildrens.org.
