MARK BRODEUR Obituary

BRODEUR, MARK VINCENT Mark Vincent Brodeur, 38, of Manville Hill Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 16th at R. I. Hospital in Providence. Born in Waterbury, CT, he was the devoted loving son of Patricia A. Treat of Estero, FL and Raymond J. Brodeur, Jr. of Orange, CT, stepson of Angela Brodeur and the late Peter Rowe Treat and grandson of Vincent J. Chlebowicz of Fort Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond J. Brodeur, Sr. and Hazel (O’Neill) Brodeur and maternal grandmother Helen (Ruzinkovic) Chlebowicz. Mark leaves four siblings, R.J. Brodeur of Cumberland, RI, Kristine Harty (Kevin) of Lincoln, RI, Matthew Brodeur of Orange, CT and Danielle Sullivan (Jordan) of Bethany, CT. Also surviving are four step-siblings, Deborah Mowry (Donny) of Williamsburg, VA, David Treat (Debra) of Navarre, FL, Taylor Treat (Jane) of East Greenwich, RI and Nansea Treat Eye (Garnet) of Lanexa, VA. Mark was also the loving uncle to nephews Ryan Harty of Lincoln, RI and Chase Sullivan of Bethany, CT. Mark was a graduate of Lely High School in Naples, FL and Bryant University in Smithfield, RI where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday with funeral services at 10:00 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rte. 122, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s memory to the Marco Island Historical Society, 180 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco Island, FL 34145. We are so sad to hear about Mark's passing. We didn't know him long but we enjoyed our time with him at Kat and Derek's wedding. We are thinking of you all and praying for his family in this difficult time.
