Mary Alling Obituary

ALLING, MARY G. Mary Grace Alling, 88, wife of the late David J. Alling, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Montowese Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in North Haven. She was born in New Haven, August 6, 1924, the daughter of Daniel and Delia McNulty O'Connor. Mary was a member of the St. Brendan's Ladies Guild and a member of the New Haven Council of Catholic Women. She was an avid Bingo player and loved football, especially the New England Patriots. She is survived by her children, Thomas Alling of Milford, Elizabeth Alling of New Haven, John Alling of New Haven and Patricia (Kevin) Bradley of New Haven; her brothers, Daniel (Patricia) O'Connor of Irvine, CA and Robert (Nancy) O'Connor of Litchfield; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Her funeral will be from Keenan Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Brendan Church, New Haven, at 10:00. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening (TODAY) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Condolences may be expressed online at www.keenanfuneralhome.com
