Mary Earle Obituary

EARLE, MARY THERESA Mary Theresa Earle, 87, of West Haven, for 61 years the devoted wife of the late Edward L. Earle, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died suddenly, Friday, May 31, 2013. Mary was born in New Haven, November 16, 1925, one of twin daughters born to the late Joseph and Mary Shea Kerr. She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church and a member of St. Theresa's Guild. Mary held various employment positions in earlier years, but was always a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Mary was blessed with a great sense of humor and loved her family. Her twin sister Jane was a life-long companion in many adventures. Family trips to Cape Cod, California, Ireland or NYC for a Broadway show always ended with a funny story. She loved walking on the beach searching for sea glass or spending time with her dogs. She was a happy soul who despite life events would always be able to laugh and not complain. Mary enjoyed the simple pleasure of spending time with her extended family. She was devoted to her husband and they enjoyed many happy years. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, in the words of her late husband, a good looker and a good cooker. She is survived by three children, Mary Anne Earle, of West Haven, Claire Kathleen Nicotra and her husband Dennis, of Fairfield, and Daniel Earle and his wife Cheryl, of Guilford; four very special grandchildren, Christopher Nicotra, Todd Nicotra and his wife Emilie, Tara Nicotra-Clemente and her husband Mark, and Liam Earle; four cherished great grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, and Aiden Nicotra, and Jasper Clemente. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jane Boyne. The funeral will be from the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven, Wednesday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Lawrence Church at 10:00. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00. Donations in Mary's memory may be sent to St. Lawrence Church, 207 Main Street, West Haven, CT 06516. Condolences may be expressed online at www.keenanfuneralhome.com

Mary was a very special person to me. We are all blessed to have her as a part of our lives. We will miss her terribly. I know she is looking down upon all of us and smiling, saying us not to be sad. She is with her husband and sister now. She will always be with us in our hearts forever.

...At this moment I cannot help but to feel deeply grieved over the loss of your dear mother and friend!
I don't think I will ever find a more loving & appreciative pair who always kept families thankful.
