CARLIN, MATTHEW HILL Matthew Hill Carlin, 54, of Hope Valley, Rhode Island, passed away suddenly on October 31, 2015 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 17 years, Nancy Moran Carlin and their 2 dalmatians, William and Harry. Cherished son of the late Earl and Louise Hill Carlin, Matt was born in New Haven on July 4, 1961 and grew up in Branford. He graduated from the Hammonasset School in Madison and attended Nasson College in Maine. Always surrounded by his love of music, Matt worked at Sennheiser in East Lyme for the last 20 years. He also leaves his sister, Kathryn Carlin Lovejoy of Madison and his niece Pam and nephew Bennett Lovejoy. Also survived by many relatives and friends, Matt was a kind soul with a gentle heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Matt’s life will be held on Sat. Nov. 14 in Hope Valley RI, at the home he shared with Nancy. There will also be a gathering in New Orleans on Friday, November 27, 2015.
