Matthew Savinelli Obituary

SAVINELLI, MATTHEW JAMES Matthew James Savinelli, 35, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 29, 2013. He was born in West Haven, CT, April 11, 1978, the son of Thomas and Candace Savinelli. He attended Hamden Hall Country Day School in Hamden, CT and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in the Arts of Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Forensic Science at the University of Maine at Augusta, ME. He served a short time in the United States Air Force. Matthew loved working at his local bakery, Holy Cannoli. He also loved science, animals, fishing, music and the arts. Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents, Louis and Lilly Savinelli and Kendrick E. Chase. He leaves a loving brother, Jonathan, a grandmother, Erla Chase, and several aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 1 Church St., West Haven, CT, on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:00. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Derby Ave., West Haven, CT. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Autism Spectrum Resource Center, Inc. of CT, 101 North Plains Industrial Road, Harvest Park, Building 1A, Wallingford, CT 06492

Tommy and Candy, I'm saddened to hear of Matthews passing, and know how difficult it is for the two of you. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and please be comforted by prayer and good thoughts and memory's of Matthew.

IAM SO VERY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR LOSS.....MAT WAS A DOWN TO EARTH CARING PERSON AND GENTLEMAN..I'D LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT THE GOOD LORD NEEDED ANOTHER ANGEL WHEN HE CALLED UPON MAT.
