Maureen VanNess Obituary
In Meriden, May, 8th, 2025, Maureen G. Van Ness, of Meriden, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, with her family beside her. Beloved wife of Keith Van Ness, loving mother of Matthew Van Ness of Meriden, sister of James Kenneth McCusker (Vanessa) of Michigan and Patricia McCusker of Branford. Maureen was born in Mineola, NY, on January 9, 1957, daughter of the late Kenneth and Marilyn Perrott McCusker. She worked in the medical field as a respiratory therapist and a medical transcriptionist for over 40 years. Maureen played the guitar in the Ascension Church folk group for over 30 years and was a member of the Saint Paul VI contemporary choir. She loved her four-legged pal, Phoenix, and enjoyed her nightly glass of wine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 13th, at 10AM at St. Rita's Church, Saint Paul VI Parish. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, May 12th, from 4 – 8PM at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Avenue, Hamden.
