May Guluzzy Obituary

May Louise DeMaio Guluzzy passed away peacefully on July 5, 2022, in Boca Raton Florida after a courageous battle with cancer.
MayMay, as she was fondly known, was the loving wife of Carl Guluzzy for 60 years.
May was born to James and May DeMaio of Oxford, CT on January 27, 1941. Besides her husband Carl, she is survived by her sister, Joy Tranquilli, a brother Ted DeMaio, and brother-in-law Donald Guluzzy (Laura). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many very dear friends. She was predeceased by brothers James and Thomas DeMaio.
May was an art teacher for the Ansonia Schools for 35 years retiring in 1997. She was named Teacher-Of-the-Year in 1988 and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a sorority for outstanding educators.

I and my Kgn students were fortunate to know May when she taught art at Mead School in Ansonia,CT. She was a gifted teacher and a lovely person always wearing a smile. She will be missed by all who were fortunate to have known her. Sending my sincere sympathy .
