Michael Blizman Obituary
Michael F. Blizman, age 88, of Beacon Falls, the beloved husband of the late Regina Mary Blizman, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, November 22, 2021 at River Glen Healthcare Center, Southbury. He was born in Bridgeport on October 26, 1933, beloved son of the late Stephen and Anna Haray Blizman. Michael was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour and was a retired Computer Analyst for the Westinghouse Corporation of Shelton. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Michael was an active member of the Oxford Senior Center and loved playing pool there. He loved old movies and music, especially country. Most of all, Michael loved spending time with his family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.
Michael's loving family includes his devoted son Michael P. Blizman (Wendy) of Southbury, a caring daughter Lisa Faulkner (Brian) of Oakland, CA, a loving brother Stephen Blizman (Delores) of Sanford, FL, a beloved sister Veronica Hibbert (Roger) of Bethel, a cherished granddaughter Delaney Blizman and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife Regina, Michael was predeceased by his loving lapdog Kelsey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (Directly) at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. in Seymour. Interment, with full military honors accorded, will follow in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Rt. 67, opposite Klarides Village) Seymour. Memorial gifts in Michael's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, CT Chapter, through the funeral home.
