Mildred D'Aniello Obituary

D' Aniello, Mildred "Millie" Mildred C. "Millie" D'Aniello, 87, of Belden Rd., Hamden, died April 26, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife for 56 years, of the late Stanley D'Aniello. Millie was born in New Haven, Jan. 17, 1926, the daughter of the late Anthony Chancio and Anna Romano. She was a graduate of Commercial High School and was a medical secretary for many years in the office of Dr. F. Ghofrany, Pediatrician, retiring 25 years ago. A Hamden resident for the last 62 years, she was active in the bowling leagues at the Johnson Alleys, the Blessed Sacrament Ladies League, the 55 Alive Club, St Ann's Young at Heart Club and was an avid Yankee Fan. She is survived by her children, Guy (Suzan) D'Aniello of Hamden, Paula (William) Lupi of Hamden, Elisa (Matthew) Allardice of Wallingford and a sister, Virginia Pastore of MA, grandchildren, Kala (Matthew) Zawalich, Kurt D'Aniello, Kylie & KeriAna Allardice and 2 great- grandchildren, Kira and Danny Zawalich. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Alfred Limauro and a niece Roberta Pastore-Sedaille. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. At Millie's request, there will be no calling hours. Friends and relatives are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, Monday at 10 o'clock, followed by interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Glen Henry, Dr. Yang, nurses Jill & Stephanie and CNAs of Atria Larson Place and home care CNA "Bonnie" Sally. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to acknowledge the Hamden Fire Dept. who saved her life 19 years ago and their service over the last 8 months with donations to the Hamden Volunteer Fireworks Fund "HVFF", P.O. Box 5104, Hamden, Ct. 06518. The Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

I am sooooo sad, Mildred Chan was my second mother I knews something was wrong , had that feeling.
She will always be in my heart. She was part of my life growing up and my mother's best friend
We shared much over the years, the fun, the sad and just being wonderful friends and families together!!I know she missed my mother so much!
