ORLANDO POLVERARI Obituary

Orlando (Lando) Polverari, 91, of Bethany, passed away June 13, 2017 in the St. Raphael's Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Prudence "Prudy" Petrosino Polverari. Born in New Haven Aug. 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Paul and Antonia Gabucci Polverari. Prior to his retirement, he worked for The Fusco Corporation for more than 45 years where he served as a vice president. During World War II, he served in the US Army Infantry in the European War Theater. He is survived by his children, Lon (Floria) Polverari of Monroe, Regina McHugh and Lisa (Salvatore) Lorello, both of Cheshire; five grandchildren, Ryan & Matthew McHugh, Adam & Kendall Polverari and Whitney Lorello. He was predeceased by his sister, Felina "Phyllis" Festa and four brothers, Gino, Vincent, Edward and Mario Polverari. Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Monday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Center Road, Woodbridge at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:15. Interment, with Military Honors, in East Side Cemetery, Woodbridge.
