Pamela Esposito Obituary

Pamela Esposito
March 9, 1943 - May 5, 2024
Pamela Esposito, 81, of Branford, CT, beloved wife of the late Robert Esposito, sadly but peacefully passed away in her sleep at her home on Sunday, May 4, 2024. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her family includes sons Michael Esposito and his wife Kim, Mark Esposito of Dallas, Christopher Esposito of Branford and the late Robert Esposito Jr. and his widow Julie; her brother David Grandel and his wife Barbara of Wellfleet, MA; sister Elizabeth Grandel of New Haven; late brother Nicholas Grandel and her late sister Anne Duley; grandchildren Amanda, Andrea, Vincent, Zachary, Avery, Alyssa, Mia and Izzy who called her Grammie; great-grandson Owen who called her Gigi; nephew Joshua Grandel and his wife Laura; nephew Anthony Grandel and great-niece Lexis Grandel. Pamela was born in Branford, the daughter of Frank and Marjorie Wood Grandel. As a young woman, Pam kept very busy as a homemaker and wife to Robert, raising 4 very active boys. As they got older, she and Robert purchased the Amoco Station in North Haven which kept them busy. It also afforded them a lifestyle which they were not accustomed to where they could now enjoy vacations and cruises with the family. After the death of her husband, she began working as a bookkeeper for Action Sports, City Fish and Thermal Fireproofing. After retirement, she found herself enjoying the grandchildren's many activities including sporting events, concerts, graduations and pre-prom events. They fondly remember her taking them bowling, to the movies, her pet names for them, drinking her tea and her love of black licorice. Pam was involved with the Branford Lions Club for many years, which made her very proud. She will always be remembered for her strong will and strong love for her family, for teaching her sons and grandchildren how to be supportive of others, how to openly show love toward the ones you love, how to overcome adversity and work hard and how to have faith in good times and bad.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday May 17 from 5-7 p.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Please see her online memorial at www.wsclancy.com.
