Pasquale Perrotti Obituary

Pasquale F. Perrotti, Sr.
Pasquale F. "Pat" Perrotti Sr., of North Haven, died peacefully at his home on Friday, September 20, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Rosemarie Cafano Perrotti, the love of his life.
Pat was born in New Haven on August 29, 1937, to the late Frank Sr. and Katherine Ferrara Perrotti. He graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1955 and was inducted into the US Navy in 1956. He served his country courageously and was honorably discharged in 1962. Upon returning home, Pat worked on the family farm. He was one of the original founders of Frank Perrotti & Sons. He also ran his own oil business, he was a contracted trucker for the US Post Office, and later held a contract to provide school bus service for the Amity school system. He and Rose had owned and operated P&R Flowers for over 30 years.
Pat loved being with his family. His home was a welcome place to all who visited. He enjoyed listening to music, watching the classics, and entertaining family and friends over a glass of wine, a cold beer and a good meal. Pat also enjoyed the horse track and watching Sunday football. He had an interest in a racehorse, "Shy Guy", who had 18 wins in his career. Pat enjoyed traveling with Rose; they visited numerous places, some favorites included Italy and multiple cruises. He looked forward to meeting with the Coffee Club to reminisce and share a laugh or two on Sunday mornings.
Pat was the proud father of Frank (Barbara) Perrotti, Pasquale F. (Kathleen) Perrotti Jr., Dr. Mark (Susan) Perrotti, Keith (Robin) Perrotti, Tracy (Robert) Benedetto, George (Michelle) Perrotti, Suzanne (Kris) Johnson, and Patricia (Mark) Richetelli. He was the brother of Ann (Tony) Anastasio, Nicholas "Gene" (Mary Ellen) Perrotti and the late Marie (Thomas) Thomas, Frank Perrotti Jr., and Joseph Perrotti. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson Joseph Johnson. He leaves behind his long-time companion Alma Pearce, as well as his loving sisters in-law Barbara (Mike) Kudrick, and Brenda (Vinny) Iezzi, and several nieces and nephews whom he adored.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. All are asked to meet at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Rd., Woodbridge, Friday at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge, CT 06525.
