Many of my childhood memories involve the McCabe family and activities our families shared in as parishioners of St Anthony's church. Pat was my religious ed teacher. I am very saddened to learn of his passing. My mother Eleanor was blessed to have had your family in her life. Pat and Joan were very kind to her- giving her rides to and from church functions. God has another angel in heaven. My condolences.

To Joan and the McCabe family: Our deepest sympathies and condolences at this difficult time. The times that I spent with Pat were some of the best times of my teens and early 20s. We both shared a love for music as well as the company of many mutual friends. I'm thankful that I knew Pat and what a good man he was to call "friend ". Love, Joe and Eppie and McWilliams

Dear Joan and family,

I was so lucky to work with Pat at Birmingham Group for fifteen years. He was the first person I met on my very first day of work and he made me feel right at home. That's the way he always was, a good person deep down in his soul. If you needed help, Pat was someone you could rely on. We have all lost someone very special who touched us with his kindness and generosity. Rest in peace my friend. My sincere sympathy to all.
