Paul Waddock Obituary

Waddock, Paul Mathew
Paul Mathew Waddock, 51, died peacefully at his home in West Haven on April 7th in the company of his devoted wife and his immediate family. He is survived by his loving wife Cindy, parents Norbert and Gladys Waddock, siblings John (Jacqui) Waddock, Patty (Ben) Haag, Mike (Olga) Waddock, Kathy (Joe) Yasevac, Mark (Qi) Waddock, Carey (Mike) Thompson, nieces and nephews; Dan, Kristin, Emily, Erika, Kelly, Dylan, Taylor and Katie, as well as numerous cousins. Paul was born on August 5, 1966; he grew up in Branford and Madison. He was an avid soccer player and fan and was a 1985 graduate of Daniel Hand H.S. in Madison. Paul attended SCSU and the Greater New Haven Technical College where he studied business and electronics. He began his career in the food service repair industry more than 25 years ago as a valued employee of the Hobart Company. In the year 2001, Paul and two partners founded a successful business, Service One LLC., located in Bridgeport. Service One is a highly regarded supplier to the restaurant and supermarket trade in Southern New England. Paul valued his employees and their families and was respected by his clients and customers for his professionalism, responsiveness and detail to solving problems. Paul met the love of his life in 1990, an American Italian-Irish girl Cindy Langella, and following a spirited courtship they celebrated their wedding in 2002. They enjoyed 28 wonderful years together, sharing life's joys, passion and adventures. They own a home in West Haven which they share with their cat Ana and dog, a loveable Doberman named Blu. Paul was devoted to his wife and family, friends and neighbors. A compassionate man with a heart of gold, Paul is remembered for his wit, kindness and for always extending the hand of friendship. Paul was a proud American and had an appreciation and admiration for those who serve in our military and in our local communities. Paul enjoyed golf, pool, music, beach walks, the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox, and most of all "chillin" in his back yard with Cindy and his best friend Blu.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Paul's life on Friday April 20 at the West Haven Funeral Home on the green from 4-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will follow on Saturday April 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church in West Haven. In lieu of flowers, commemorative donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 860 Howard Ave, New Haven, CT 06519. However, should you wish to order flowers, the family asks that you do so through Fitzgerald's Florist, 281 Campbell Ave, West Haven, CT 06516. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. And may the God of all comfort bring you peace during this hard time (Psalms 55: 22).

Having worked with Paul for 2.5 years I have come to recognize his love for family, friends, animals, and life. A favorite memory includes my time fishing with Paul. His love of being 'on the water' was evident in his exuberance and his contagious smile. He will be missed. God Bless.
