My hope is to go through life with as much gentle patience as you gave to the rambunctious students that we were. Thank you.

Dear Peter,
How I miss you! We grew up together on Colony Hill in Seymour. We attended Seymour schools and shared many years together growing up just a few hundred yards from each other. I miss your laughter, gentle spirit and compassion for others. You visited me many times in our Mtn. home in TN. You stayed in our 1st story guest rooms many, many times and I still open that door thinking of you. I've still got your phone number in my directory and call it every once and a while thinking somehow you might answer. Peter, I see you in my minds eye just now and I truly hope you're happy. I miss you Peter....I really miss you!

Mr. Romano was the BEST math teacher I ever had. He was my teacher in the 5th and 6th grade at MCA. May he rest in the great presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mr Romano taught us in 7th grade and I still remember the foundation for good grammar is dictated by logic. If we gave an answer in class "I chose that answer because it sounds correct", it was wrong because he demanded that we go beyond how something sounded and explore the underlying logic behind grammar rules. These are the things that stay with you through life. Mr Romano had a great sense of humor and he loved teaching us kids. I'm glad to have known him because he definitely made a positive impact in many of our lives.

Peter taught all three of my children and challenged them to be their best. He was there for our family when my daughter needed to be home schooled. We will be forever greatfull. The same daughter graduated suma cum laud and is now teaching high school English . We had many great conversations over tea those few months. All who loved him have our prayers . It was a true blessing to have know him.

A quiet, gentle spirit, highly read church pew brother, who will be sorely missed. Who else would sit in front of an Italian Charismatic Christian elder women during a Sunday service? He had an appreciation for seeing others embracing life as well as for mushroom barley soup! But what I will remember the most is the glow he recently had as he shared with me so enthusiastically "HOW excited he felt about this years class." Something was different. The students were reigniting a passion only an educator can understand. I was and remain comforted in knowing today Peter is with Jesus and he left with his heart glad ♥♥ You are Loved ♥♥

Mr. Romano was one of my 7th grade teachers at Derby Upper School, and to this day I still tell people how much I learned about how to write well in his class. I'm a teacher now myself, and I still think of him every time I write! I also used to love that he'd write poems on his classroom bulletin board and draw these great big illustrations to go with them. My condolences to his family...

Mr. Romano; you were my 7th grade teacher at Bradley School. I don't think I can recall a kinder, even tempered, & more dedicated teacher.

Mr. Romano was my 7th grade teacher at Bradley School and was one of my best teachers. He taught me so many important skills for life and made such a lasting impression with me. My teaching style is similar to his and I often talk to my students about him. My sincere condolences to his family.
