Peter Winton

WINTON, PETER A. Peter A. Winton, 69, of West Haven, passed away March 2, 2014, after a brief illness. He was a native of Massachusetts and spent many years in Connecticut and most recently in West Haven. At the time of his death he was a bartender at Dubel’s Café for 14 years. He was past director of the State of Connecticut Special Olympics swimming program, past Coach for West Haven Biddy Basketball and one of the founders of the Challengers Program for West Haven Little League. He was a fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins and enjoyed his annual trip to Saratoga. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 17 at noon at Dubel’s Café in West Haven. Donations may be made in his memory to Team West Haven Special Olympics, 48 Shawmut Avenue, North Haven, CT. 06473. Arrangements are in care of the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.
